San Franciscans from all backgrounds marched to the beat of drummers, mega phonic chorals, and mostly unified causes yesterday. Under a pristine azure sky, the largely peaceful rally drew out numbers as high as 50,000 demonstrators according to organizers.

Increased police presence insured public safety and radical extremist controls. Twenty-two Black Bloc anarchists, however, were arrested for blocking traffic and other acts of civil disobedience. Earlier in the afternoon, an NBC News truck was vandalized by, according to witness reports, members of the Black Bloc contingent.
