Nader Blasts Corporate Bailout, Warns of Taxpayer Revolt

Independent candidate for vice president Ralph Nader yesterday blasted the Bush administration and members of Congress for supporting a “corporate bailout of Wall Street.”
“If the US Government is going to bail out anybody,” Nader said during a press conference held outside the San Francisco Federal Reserve building, it “should bail out prudent savers and investors, not speculators and corporate criminals.”
Nader called the Bush presidency, “the most criminally recidivist presidency in American history,” and warned taxpayer anger could lead to civil unrest.
“Socialist Superman is sweeping down on New York City from Washington D.C. to bailout the giant casino capitalists on Wall Street,” Nader said. “How much more can the American taxpayer endure before the American taxpayer revolts and takes over the Government of the United States?”

I’m supporting Chuck Baldwin for President, but if the choices were Obama, McCain, and Nader, I would choose Nader hands down.
I have a great deal of respect for Nader, of which I don’t have any for either of the two major party candidates, and Nader’s opposition to the bailout raises my respect for him several notches higher.
