Candidate for District 10 Supervisor Eric “Doc” Smith and Sam Peoples are today’s featured guest artists at the historic Cadillac Hotel.

Smith, a consummate musician and producer who has played with such notables including Brian Eno, Madonna, Warren Zevon and John Scofield, will provide percussion for legendary Fillmore jazz pianist Peoples under the name The UF2: The Unidentified Flying Quartet.

Concerts at the Cadillac is a free concert series open to the public. Its purpose is to provide high-quality, uplifting music for the residents of the Cadillac Hotel and San Francisco’s Tenderloin District. The Cadillac Hotel is home to the Patricia Walkup Memorial Piano, a meticulously restored 1884 Steinway Model D concert grand piano, the finest piano this writer has ever played.

The Cadillac Hotel is located at 380 Eddy Street (@ Leavenworth). Today’s concert begins at 12:30pm.  There’s no better way to spend a Friday lunch hour.
