  1. @Pat: Well, it’s hardly surprising that Alioto-Pier could amass a war chest, is it?

As to the Avalos question, maybe he could tell us himself.

  2. @Annie. Just my 2c. I’m just surmising here, but maybe John has decided to stay above this ‘insider’ fight; let the rest of the machine pols waste their time and energy snapping at each other’s high and mighty heels. All our energies need to be focused on negating the power of their dirty money and advancing reasonable progressive policies that will benefit all San Fransiscans. Possibly the best strategy.
What amazes me is how a proven incompetent like Alioto-Pier can amass such a war chest and, according to the Kronikle, be at 10% in the polls, but then consider the source.
    AVANTE ALCALDE AVALOS.

  3. I still have a question about the way this drama has unfolded. Why didn’t Avalos join the five rival candidates who objected to the Run Ed Run campaign’s dealings with Recology, as reported in the Chronicle?

“Five mayoral candidates – Chiu, City Attorney Dennis Herrera, state Sen. Leland Yee, former Supervisor Michela Alioto-Pier and venture capitalist Joanna Rees – quickly seized on Peskin’s letter, calling the allegations ‘serious.'” (“SF Mayor Ed Lee’s rivals seek probe of his backers 5 candidates say ‘Run, Ed, Run’ group violated campaign laws,” http://goo.gl/YcUIC)

  4. Quote from Mr Lee’s interview today on KCBS’ “In Depth”:
“The promises that we make we have to deliver on those…that’s what government is all about”.
There is an expression, Mr Lee: “Watch what I do, not what I say”.

  5. Speak truth to power. Let Ed Lee hear that we know he’s a liar.
