William and the Disappearing Magic Muni Bus
The 48 Quintara is a repeat offender in this field. I quickly gave up waiting for it when I used to live on 24th Street. And the former 26 bus that used to (supposedly) run along Valencia was also a bit of a mystery. In all my attempts at waiting for and hoping to ride the 26 bus, I only ever caught one glimpse of it.

Daly: District 6 Progressive Primary to be Held in July
Daly announced his intention in March to hold a primary election. Since then, the Progressive candidates we have spoken to have been less than enthusiastic about running a mid-campaign election, citing limited resources needed for the run-up to November election. But they did agree Daly’s tried and tested campaign prowess could prove invaluable in holding the District 6 seat firmly in the hands of Progressives.

Business as usual will persist so don’t be fooled – on this measure or any other, including the appalling health care bill that made a dysfunctional system worse, and took a giant step toward ending Medicare, one of the main reasons it was enacted, besides enriching corporate providers.

MLBPA Responds“We write to call upon Major League Baseball to seek a new host city for the 82nd All-Star Game, outside the State of Arizona, unless that state’s law is repealed,” the letter states. “Arizona’s draconian new anti-immigration law, which unless repealed or invalidated by a court will be in full effect in July 2011, poses an unambiguous and direct threat to the liberty of millions of Americans who are Latino or who may appear to be of foreign origin-including Major League Baseball players and their fans.”
