The clandestine plan involved Chiu telling Mirkarimi his presence was required for an important meeting at City Hall, where his well-wishers lay patiently in wait.<\/p>\n<p>The surprise birthday celebration attracted fellow Supervisors David Campos, John Avalos, David Chiu, Sophie Maxwell, Carmen Chu, and several City Hall staffers, aides, volunteers and friends.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/fogcityjournal.com\/images\/photos2009\/mirkarimi_bday_bos_090804\/_w2w6865_std.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s wonderful to see everybody here.
