Radio host Ace Washington arrested

Radio talk show host Ace Washington was arrested Friday night on allegations of trespassing, assault, and resisting arrest, KPOO radio reports.

The incident took place at Rasselas Jazz Club where the club manager barred Washington from admittance, Washington said in a taped interview.

The club manager termed Washington a "trouble maker," while Washington recalled he had criticized the manager for paying low wages at a different night spot.

Washington is a board member of the African American Community Police Relations Board and the Idriss Stelley Foundation.

He hosts a Friday talk show on KPOO radio and bases governmental coverage from the City Hall press room.

Washington is scheduled for court appearance January 6.
