SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) - A Bonnie and Clyde-like duo were arrested Monday evening in connection with three San Francisco bank robberies.

Police arrested Jessica Hewitt, 32, of Pennsylvania and Michael Collins, 37, of Los Banos, Calif., at a Lombard Street motel.

Security cameras at the Wells Fargo bank at 557 Castro St., in the Castro District, and the Bank of America at 288 West Portal Ave., in West Portal, caught the couple leaving the robberies in taxis, according to police.

The pair are also suspected of committing a third bank robbery downtown on Friday, at the Bank of America at 445 Powell St., near Union Square.

Hewitt and Collins have been charged with two counts of bank robbery, one count of attempted bank robbery, one count of conspiracy and three counts of burglary, police reported.
