Bay City News Service

January 2, 2006

Police are investigating two separate murders in San Francisco Monday.

A male was shot in the head around 6:50 p.m. in the 1800 block of Sunnydale Avenue, in the city's Visitacion Valley neighborhood, and later died at San Francisco General Hospital, police reported.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene after the assault. Around 9:40 p.m. a victim died from stab wounds after walking into a home in the 1600 block of Sunnydale Avenue. That victim collapsed in bed from multiple stab wounds to the back, according to police.

No arrests have been made in either case.
