By Ari Burack, Bay City News

March 9, 2006

Members of Falun Gong will hold a news conference and begin a series of hunger strikes today at 1:30 p.m. in San Francisco, protesting what they say is a "newly revealed concentration camp'' in China. The group alleges that the camp is used to detain and persecute Falun Gong practitioners.

The event takes place outside the Chinese Consulate, 1450 Laguna St., San Francisco.
