Board of Supervisors President Aaron Peskin presided over a closed door discussion in his City Hall Office Friday on recent rift between Supervisors Chris Daly and Ross Mirkarimi, the Sentinel confirmed yesterday.

Matt Gonzalez, past board president and leading San Francisco progressive voice, participated in the discussion.

Daly and Mirkarimi hold opposing views on medical marijuana dispensary regulation.

Mirkarimi told the Sentinel "nothing changed going into the meeting or coming out" regarding Mirkarimi's regulation proposal.

Daly, Mirkarimi, and Peskin described the conversation as centered on advancing the progressive agenda.

Gonzalez declined to "confirm or deny" the meeting took place.
