Symphony musicians hold 'press concert' Monday over stalled contract negotiations

January 23, 2006, 12:00 p.m.

San Francisco Symphony musicians, who have worked without a contract since early December, lilt a 'Press Concert' protest today in the Rotunda of City Hall.

The 12:00 p.m. event will feature a string quartet playing for San Francisco's elected officials, city employees and citizens.

Musicians will wear Cleveland Indians baseball hats to symbolize management's proposal to pay the musicians below that of other premier American orchestras, including the financially troubled Cleveland Orchestra.
